Job Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the timely performance, supervision, training, and documentation of clinical service delivery to the patient and his/her caregiver in accordance with accepted standards of therapy practice and regulatory guidelines.   

  • Performs and documents therapy service delivery related to patient evaluation and re-certification, as applicable.
  • Completes comprehensive evaluations with appropriate goals as determined by Occupational Therapy practice.
  • Obtains and documents physician orders, when appropriate.
  • Reviews and co-signs orders received by COTA staff members, as directed.
  • Responsible for the submission of all documentation and receipt of physician orders within established timeframes.
  • Reviews data regarding patient assignments, including but not limited to, Plan of Care, and Coordination Notes prior to service delivery. 
  • Assist with coordination of services between disciplines, and/or other healthcare providers.
  • Participates in patient case conferences and documents ongoing Coordination of Care with other members of the healthcare team.

Job Requirements 

We are looking for a highly organized OT with a natural ability to positively motivate others.

  • Registered Licensed Occupational Therapist with a valid licensed to practice in the state of Missouri.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
  • A vehicle with current insurance coverage and a valid state driverís license is required.
  • Ability to read 12 point type or larger and lift 25 pounds and be able to stoop, bend, lift, turn, and transfer patients.
  • Home Health experience is preferred.
